The doomed shadow show 2 The doomed shadow show 2

Rated 4 / 5 stars February 6, 2010

Interesting...

I like how you expose a lot of the inconsistencies in these flashes. Your art style is pretty good as well.
I don't really see all that much wrong with this flash, other than the weapons the scientists made on the Ark. The canon story is that G.U.N. came in and made Gerald Robotnik work on weapons instead of anything actually beneficial to mankind. It was explained in the Sonic Battle journal sections. After Maria died, he just lost it and told Shadow to kill everything. His original intent was something worthwhile, G.U.N.'s just full of morons that almost ended the world twice over through the consequences of their actions.

Sonic dark Chronicles 1 Sonic dark Chronicles 1

Nailed the wires part

As well as the HORRENDOUSLY high prices for items. Nice animation as well. Made for some pretty good lulz.

Wow

This has to be one of the best animations I've ever seen. It trumps even some of those "professional" ones they make today. You even had me about to cry at the end.
Bravisimo!

Interesting

Pretty neat concept for the game.
And I new about half-way across that pit in level 5 just exactly what was going to happen.
Did enjoy the trophy for it though XD

Dragon Boy Dragon Boy

Rated 2.5 / 5 stars November 7, 2009

Kinda hard to rate...

I must say, first off, that I did enjoy this game; it kept me entertained for a couple of hours. The partner system was pretty neat, and I found the different leveling styles for each character as a nice change from other games. Graphics were nice, the story was okay, and gameplay tended to be quite fun.

However, there was just enough wrong with the game to make it frustrating after a certain point, which I've seen many others attest to here. For one, it becomes INCREDIBLY hard to buy equips just a short while into the game, and the only way to make money fast is to either grind at the campsite for half an hour or fight giants if you're lucky to have made it that far. Because of this, your hero can easily become weak and get killed with only a few hits. You also happen to be a melee fighter only, so you'll soon be surpassed by your team. You'll find tht the only way to beat some bosses is the just hang back and let them spam ranged attacks so you don't horribly die. And even though the level system is nice in its uniqueness, it tends to get frustrating. No matter how much you kill, Guil will never gain any stats unless you give him better equips. The person who actually benefits from this is your mage friend, who gets no equips at all and only a minimal life boost from each level. For some absurd reason she will almost follow you right into the path of whatever attack is coming your way. This gets extremely annoying later on, especially with Hard mode. The dragon can be even more frustrating. It starts out as an egg then goes to a baby form, neither of which do anything. Its child form is worthless as well, as I saw it attack maybe once. The next two forms are the only ones worth anything, because they attack and their fire breath has a huge spread. Its hp caps at 600, which is nice, except for the fact it has no defesnse and that getting to 600 is more frustrating than leveling. Again you have to find a decent level to abuse until you find enough food to grow the stupid thing. And the kicker is that its physical attack is greater than its fire breath, so it does what the MAGE SHOULD BE DOING and hangs back and attacks random enemies, rarely ever the one you are fighting. He will always have the largest health bar but he will never die because he never even gets close to anything.
Speaking of death, exp loss. Yeah, it could have been soooo much better without that little gem. It doesn't really matter until Hard mode, which takes its namesake to a whole new level. Turns out that the weakest enemies in the game seem to gain enough hp to at least match Stonehead's. And they give hardly enough exp to make up for anything. The equipment at this point becomes too substandard to keep you alive for more than 20 seconds at points. Oh, and your partners become freaking worthless. Their attacks still do the same amount of damage, which with the hp boost is the rough equivalent of beating a tank with a twig. I'm sure if you grind for hours you could do well in Hard mode, but it just doesn't seem worth it.
You did a good job with the first part of the game, and I applaud you for that. But Hard mode seriously needs a do-over, no question.

Medieval Rampage Medieval Rampage

Rated 3.5 / 5 stars July 5, 2009

Entertaining...

But the difficulty ramp gets really frustrating, in addition to the ever increasing health replinish costs which eat up the money I'm saving for bows and arrows.
Also, I've gotten every medal except "100 Achievements," yet none of them appear on my user page. They just all pop up at once every time I start a new Campaign or Survival. If you could look into that I would be most appreciative.
